Hello, I am Jeri Fiedler:
 
I moved to Idaho from the Midwest in the spring of 1980 after completing a one year chemistry and physics teaching position in a small town in Iowa. During that winter I had worked to secure a summer job in the West. Ideally, this would end up being near a lake where I could enjoy the lifestyle I had learned to love during childhood summers spent in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. I was hired at Elkins on Priest Lake and in June packed up my car and moved to Idaho, sight-unseen.
 
After arriving I met Dean and we decided to make a life of Priest Lake in the summer and skiing in the winter. Originally the skiing part of the adventure was supposed to happen in Crested Butte, Colorado. Luckily, after last minute openings were made available at the ski school, we landed at Schweitzer instead and have been able to call North Idaho home for over 25 years now.
 
I am a Level II Certified PSIA Instructor. My goal as a Nice Turns instructor is to help each individual master the skills that will enable them to ski whatever conditions the mountain hands them on any given day -  with confidence and a true sense of freedom on the slopes!
