Manuela
My name is Manuela Eiring, I was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland where I earned a degree in horticulture. I quickly realized that growing plants in spring and summer and skiing in the winter is a perfect combination.
By the time I was 18 years old I coached teenagers in ski camps and extended my education with floral design and landscape design. For five years I enjoyed working with plants in the summer and skiing in the winter. In 1987 I took a extended trip through Alaska and California and fell in love with the country and my future husband. In 1989 I got married and moved permenantly to the US. Living in southern California was very different to me and I soon missed the seasons, the mountains and of course skiing. So in 1993 we moved to Sandpoint and I started working for Schweitzer.
I have been teaching skiing at the Schweitzer Snow Sport School for 11 years and I love to share my enthusiasm for this sport with children and adults alike. I am level II certified and strive to keep improving my skiing and teaching skills.
