OUR INSTRUCTORS
Tom

Upon completion of high school in Western Massachusetts in 1985, I 'escaped' to Vermont and started teaching skiing at Okemo Mt. Resort at the age of 19. After 7 years of teaching skiing at Okemo as an instructor, supervisor and staff trainer, I decided to move West. I landed at Mt Bachelor in Bend, Oregon where I spent 3 years as an instructor and staff trainer, and ultimately with dual roles as a ski school supervisor and snowboard school program supervisor. As good as it seemed there, I left for Schweitzer, where I am starting my 13th season.year.

Over the years here I have been a ski school instructor, Masters technical ski racing coach, level III and regular staff trainer/clinician. In 2001 I was fortunate enough to be ranked by SKI magazine as number 33 of the top 100 ski instructors in North America. I am presently a part time supervisor at the Schweitzer Snowsports School, in addition to my duties as a staff trainer, instructor and Nice Turns coach.

Skiing is an amazingly freeing sport, and to be able to help many reach levels they never thought possible as a skier or instructor has been a great pleasure for me. Come ski with us, and share in our enthusiasm for this great wintertime diversion.
