Hello, I am Ursula Graef:
I was born in beautiful Southern California. I swam competitively for the Mission Viejo Nadadores for 9 years. I grew up in the ocean and the pool which led to a job as a beach lifeguard and EMT in South Laguna at age 16-18. I then moved to Mammoth Mountain in the Eastern Sierra Nevada and taught skiing there for a total of 6 years. I knew then I always wanted to live in the mountains!
I moved to Sandpoint in 1991 and have taught skiing at Schweitzer ever since. I have always enjoyed teaching children and adults from age 2 to 100! I am Level 3 certified, and I am always working on staying up to date with the latest teaching methods as well as working on improving my own skiing.
Helping my students learn how to enjoy this mountain environment, ski it more efficiently and with good judgement, while looking at amazing views and feeling the wind in our faces....That is why I love to teach skiing!" Please join me for some new adventures!
