THE NICE TURNS PROGRAM

Welcome to Nice Turns, a four and an eight week long ski and snowboard program designed for adults. Nice Turns is a skills improvement program of the Schweitzer Snow Sports School taught by Certified Instructors with years of teaching experience.

Nice Turns classes meet once a week, weekdays or weekends, for four or eight weeks. Classes are limited to 5 or less students in order to provide personalized instruction. You train with people of comparable abilities to your own. Classes are available for skiers and snowboarders from beginning intermediate level to advanced, whether learning to carve on the blue runs or off piste in the steep and deep. No matter what your level you will see steady improvement over the season.

Nice Turns allows skiers and snowboarders to develop at their own individual pace. This is accomplished by utilizing the "Simple to Complex" skills improvement method. We build a foundation teaching basic skills and then progress to more complex skills and skiing conditions. Having the weekly lessons available for consecutive weeks allows the building process to progress. This is in contrast to taking one lesson during the season with no chance for follow up. The result is steady improvement of your skills and the ability to reach the level of skiing or snowboarding that you want and are comfortable with.

Nice Turns utilizes the latest in computer and video technology to help improve your efficiency and abilities. The ability to see yourself in action, plus the ability to break down each turn into its components, is a tremendous teaching tool. Online drills and illustrations are available for home study.

Nice Turns means fun. Fun because you get to both learn and ski or snowboard with wonderful people of comparable ability. You also get to interact with other Nice Turns classes both at lunch and on the slopes. Lifelong skiing partners develop through your weekly contact with other students. Read some comments from former students.
